After 10 years of using the asterisk from Helvetica for the agency's logo it was time to make an update and design a real logo. After many rounds of exploration it was decided that we wanted to evolve the existing logo. Using that basic shape I created a custom typeface that would work when arranged as an asterisk. The result was a powerful and iconic brand mark that's still in use today and kept a reference to the past.

The logo and identity system was featured in the Commarts Design Annual.
Town of Silverthorne
Creative Director
Silverthorne Colorado is undergoing a massive transformation from being a place where people stop and pass-through on their way to other resort towns, to being the hub for all of Summit County.
With this transformation they have recognized the need to re-brand themselves to better capture that shift. The rebrand process started with an ad that ran in the Summit Daily along with a Facebook page and town posters. The ad ran on Valentines Day as a love-note from the town to it's residents. It also hinted at the coming rebrand.
Buffalo Mountain is the first thing you see coming out of Eisenhower tunnel and is the iconic landmark for the town and is something that it's residents identify with. Through several research sessions, it was determined that the Blue River is an underutilized town asset and is something that should be represented in the logo.
These are two of the finalists for the logo re-design.
